RocketHub
RocketHub is a grassroots crowdfunding platform enabling anyone to leverage the financial power of their community and launch creative projects. A "creative" builds a project profile, sets recommended contribution amounts, and defines rewards. "Fuelers" fund the projects through online contributions.
RocketHub is an open system, thus anyone can post projects. Since its January 2010 launch, the site has attracted the attention of independent film directors, musicians, among others.
The application leverages Facebook Connect to simplify registration and login, and provides features that enable project owners to promote their project on Facebook, Twitter, and more.
RocketHub is hosted by Engine Yard.
