Phil has been developing software and Web applications using a number of different platforms and programming languages for more than 15 years. Prior to founding Webficient in 2008, he hired and managed the early stage engineering team at a San Francisco financial services start-up, Fidex, and managed an enterprise software development team at Ask.com that built applications for employees and strategic partners worldwide. He also served development roles at companies such as WebSideStory.

Phil graduated from the University of California, San Diego, where he studied engineering and the biological sciences.
